The Claim
The insured suffered a failure and fire damage to their UPS unit. After CATS engineers inspected, it was discovered that the unit had damage to the main PCB, cabling, case and battery assembly. Unfortunately, the unit was BER due to the unavailability of parts. The insured had already replaced the UPS for a like for like model. CATS were able to validate this replacement as fair and reasonable.

This claim was cash settled and the CATS team were able to save the insurers £2,500.00 equal to a 22% saving.
