The Claim
The insured had reported accidental damage to their Titan 1530 Fibre Laser equipment. An accredited CATS engineer attended the site and reported their findings. The unit was noted as repairable, however the engineer stresses that the cost may be less if, during the repair, elements that are assumed to be damaged but cannot currently be accessed, instead, prove to be in working order.
The Resolution
The insurers decided to cash settle this claim. CATS expertise allowed a saving of £53,000 for only a small £100 fee.
