The Claim
The insured had unfortunately suffered a flood and reported liquid ingress damage to four different exercise machines. These included two LifeFitness Treadmills, a Concept2 Indoor Rower and an Indoor Cycling Bike.
CATS accredited engineers inspected the equipment at the site and reported that only one of four machines had suffered any damage. Three machines were in full working condition and did not require repair.
The Resolution
CATS repaired the single treadmill that had suffered damage and saved the insurers 33% (£1000) on the total amount being called for. The other three machines were repudiated.
